Tisa Mendoza worked 12 years for high-tech corporations in Silicon Valley before transitioning to lifestyle coaching. Her coaching and public speaking work gained her the reputation as a “Healthy Living Motivator” and was the catalyst for her to produce a weekly radio show, television segments (aired on KRON4-TV in San Francisco), and media-rich web content. Tisa’s company, Buzzledom, will be releasing a community-based sustainable crowd sourcing web app that allows its users to collect all their faves, connect with others, and contribute in positive ways to their community.
Tisa has triumphed over eating disorders, low body-image and self-esteem, high school bullying, and domestic violence. It is what fuels her passion and dedication to serve her community. She was a board member of Challenge Day and has served as Advisory Board member for Schools for Humanity and The Body Positive, has given after school talks for at-risk youth, taught healthy living workshops at Lyon Martin San Francisco to HIV-positive women overcoming substance abuse, volunteered for CORA (Communities Overcoming Relationship Abuse), and is a trained hotline counselor for SFWAR (San Francisco Women Against Rape). She taught her Body Wisdom workshops for the Smart Girls Program for the Boys and Girls Club, and also volunteered as a weekly guest expert for the East Palo Alto after school programs.
Tisa lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, is mother to a 14-year old son, and adopted canine, Lizzie the Butterscotch.
