Earl is the President and Co-founder of the IdeaSpace Foundation, a non-profit incubator and accelerator based in Manila with $12M in funding. IdeaSpace is funded by First Pacific, one of the largest business groups in Southeast Asia focused on telecom, energy, infrastructure, and agriculture . He is concurrently the Vice President of Corporate Development and Innovation at Smart Communications.
Prior to his move to Asia, he was a Business Incubation Manager at Cisco’s Emerging Technologies Group in Silicon Valley. He also was a Senior Systems Engineer at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. He worked in VC firms H&Q Asia Pacific in Manila and Investor Growth Capital in Menlo Park.
Earl obtained a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from Boston University, a Masters in Systems Engineering from Cornell University, an Executive Leadership Program from the Harvard Kennedy School and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
At the age of 24, he was one of the “New Faces of Engineering” published in USA Today, highlight the 15 engineers with the highest potential for impact under 30 years old in the USA. In the past years, he was named one of the Manila 40 under 40 by DevEx and honored as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
